Former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, the Pro-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Chief Wale Babalakin, and the Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Frederick Akinruntan, among others eminent Nigerians on Tuesday commended Prof. Biyi Afonja, for writing a book on governance in universities.

Twelve GCI Students Win DJB Scholarship
Thursday, 29th of March 2017 was another colourful and memorable day in the history of Government College Ibadan, as twelve brilliant, diligent and indigent students from both the Junior and Senior Secondary Classes of the School were awarded with Scholarship awards.
The Scholarship award covers the tuition fees and all other levies, textbooks, school bag, pairs of school uniform and Senior Secondary Certificate Examination fees for each of the twelve students.

The Government College, Ibadan has emerged champions of the fourth edition of the Government College, Ibadan Quadrangular Hockey tournament when they defeated their opponent from the International College of Arts, Science and Technology 2-0 in the final match played at the hockey pitch of the host institution.
