1991 January Set Donates Musical and Recreational Equipment to Government College Ibadan

image The 1991 January Set of Government College Ibadan (GCI) has demonstrated its commitment to the development of its alma mater through the donation of musical equipment, table tennis boards, and other indoor games to the school.
The presentation ceremony, held on Monday, October 7, 2024, took place on the school grounds and was attended by several representatives of the 1991 January Set, including Mr. James Ilesanmi (Chairman), Mr. Toyin Balogun (Secretary), Mr. Oyedele Oyediji (Public Relations Officer), Mr. Akande Adewale (Assistant General Secretary), Mr. Jide Okuniyi, Mr. Goke Adewunmi, and Mr. Mayowa Akingbohungbe.
Receiving the items on behalf of the school were Mr. Lanre Olubi (1985 Set), General Secretary, Government College Ibadan Old Boys’ Association (GCIOBA); Mr. Oyekola Muraina (1991 September Set), Facility Manager, GCI/GCIOBA; and Mr. Opeyemi Okeleke (2000 Set), Acting School Administrator, Government College Ibadan.
The donation is expected to enhance students’ engagement in music and sports, promoting creativity, teamwork, and physical wellness within the school community. The gesture also reflects the 1991 January Set’s ongoing dedication to supporting initiatives that enrich both the academic and extracurricular experience of current students.
The GCI community expressed deep appreciation to the 1991 January Set for their thoughtful contribution and their continued commitment to upholding the school’s legacy of excellence.
