GCI Students Win 1961 Cash Prizes

Thursday, 7th of March, 2019 was a rewarding day for some students of Government College Ibadan as the best students in Agricultural Science, alongside the Agric. Science Teachers in the senior school were rewarded with cash prizes courtesy of 1961 Set.

It would be recalled that the Agricultural Science Department had 98.8% in the 2017/2018 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Dr Tai Cole, a member of 1961 Set who presented the cash prizes in his address urged the students to face their studies squarely, be creative and aspire to be problem solvers and change agents. He added that indigent and brilliant students would always be rewarded. He reiterated his commitment to the development and revitalization of his Alma Mater.
