GCI Boys Enlisted Among Oyo State Athletes For 2018 National Youth Games

Five students of Government College Ibadan have been enlisted among the Oyo State Hockey Team (Junior category) to represent the State in Hockey at the National Youth Games, billed for the University of Ilorin, Ilorin in Kwara State between September 7 to September 17, 2018.

The five students, who recently represented the State at the National Junior Sport Festival preliminary (South West zone) in Abeokuta, Ogun State were

1) Kayode Oladiran (2013)
2) Adeniran Taofeek - SSS 2H
3) Abass Bello - JSS 3E
4) David Ademola - SSS 2C
5) Toluwani Odedokun - SSS 2C

The Hockey Team would be coached by Oluyemi Siyanbola, an Old Boy of Governmnet College Ibadan, of the 1991-January Set.

It would be recalled that Oyo State was placed 12th in the medal table with three gold, two silver and ten bronze medals at the 2017 edition of the Games.
