Sanjo Kanmi-Jones (Field, 1977) Appointed As Hockey Women�s World Cup Event Controller

Former Nigeria national men�s hockey team star player, Sanjo Jones, has been appointed to serve as the Event Controller for the Hockey Women�s World Cup put in place by London Hockey Makers.

The event has been scheduled to start in the city of London from 21st July to 5 August 2018.

Sanjo Jones is one of the eight members appointed as the event controllers for the whole Hockey World Cup event.

Their duties range from; making sure that the tournament is run smoothly to make sure that everyone at the World Cup is safe. It�s a huge task for the appointed officials and the former Nigeria national team star is up for it.

Sanjo Jones played professional hockey for 9 years in Italy: CUS CAGLIARI in Cagliari Sadegnia and ASHP in Regio Emilia.

Jones, played in Nigeria national teams from the junior team, the Under 21 and the senior team. The biggest tournament he played in the colours of the Nigeria senior men�s national hockey team was in the All African Games 1995 in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, before going professional in Europe, Sanjo Jones, played club hockey for Railway of Ibadan, the Union Bank Men�s hockey team of Lagos, Delta Force of Asaba, the Nigeria Police Machine and the Obafemi Awolowo University.
