The DJ Bullock Inter-School Theatre for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Contest
Educare Trust in collaboration with DJ Bullock Endowment Fund has concluded its plan to organise 'The DJ Bullock Inter-School Theatre for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Contest among 16 secondary schools in Ibadan South West LGA of Oyo State' with the objective of improving the knowledge and understanding of the participating students on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) issues through the medium of drama.
Other Quick Wins:
� Improving the language, critical thinking, communication and performance skills of the participating students.
� Creating a space for discovering, grooming and developing artistic talents in Play Writing, Acting, Stage Directing, Set Designing, Stage Managing and Costuming.
Modalities
� Each participating school will be encouraged to write its playlet.
� It must be an issue-based playlet on SDGs of between 20 and 23 minutes.
� The playlet must be written by a student or students with minimum supervision from teachers.
� A copy of the playlet must be submitted to the organiser for scoring purposes and publication
� The playlet must be well rehearsed for a maximum of 4 weeks
� The last rehearsal (Dress and Tech) will be previewed by the organizer for scoring purposes.
� Independent panel of judges will be appointed for the contest.
� The decision of the panel is final.
The contest starts in April and ends in July with a grand finale taking place at Government College, Ibadan.
Recognition, Reward and Award (RRA) will be given to:
1. Best performer.
2. Best performing school.
3. Best set designer.
4. Best costumier.
5. Best director.
6. Best stage manager.
7. Best drama script.
