Med-View Appoints A GCI Old Boy As One Of Her Non-Executive Directors

This is to formally notify shareholders and other stakeholders of Med-View Airline Plc that in line with the resolution of the Board of Med-View Airline in a recent meeting, the Board has approved the appointment of Mr. Edmund Abayomi Jones and Mrs. Odigboh Terry Uzoh as Non-Executive Directors on the Board of Med-View Airline Plc.

Mr Edmund Abayomi Jones joined Lufthansa German Airlines in 1974 as a Management Trainee. He held several appointments of increasing responsibility within the organization and was the First Nigerian to be appointed Deputy General Manager, West Africa.

His sterling attributes and excellence performance led to his appointment as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Airways. It is on record that he is the first CEO of the Airline to be appointed through an open, transparent and competitive headhunt exercise conducted by Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He led a regime of change at Nigeria Airways which led to a tremendous reduction of various debts being owed the Airline and repositioned it into an era of respectability and profitability in a very difficult clime characterized by varying political and economic interests. He holds a BSc from LASU (19 7 8-1983).

He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors and holds both a Bachelors and Master's Degree in Business Administration. He is versatile, an erudite aviation consultant, articulate, transparent, honest, attention to detail, indefatigable and enterprising. Mr. Yomi Jones left Nigeria Airways Limited, after two years of unblemished record in 2001. He is currently in private business.

Mrs. Odigboh Terry Uzoh joined Uzoyibo Odigboh & Co in 2003. She is an accomplished professional with vast experience in the public and private sector. She has been appointed on the Board of various Companies where she has added positively to the growth and development of those Companies.

Her desire for knowledge made her become a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR"), Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Continuing Legal Education (CLE).

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and holds BL (Hons.) from Nigerian Law School, and LLB (Hons.) from Lagos State University.
