GCI set to host the 5th GCI Quadrangular Hockey Tournament

All is set for Government College Ibadan to host the 5th GCI Quadrangular Hockey Tournament.

The Tournament is scheduled to hold between Thursday, 23rd of November and Saturday, 25th of November, 2017 at the school's Hockey Pitch.

The invited schools with respect to the tradition of the Quadrangular Hockey Tournament were drawn from both public and private secondary schools in the south western region of the country.

In his briefing, the Organiser and Proprietor of Rocket Hockey Academy, Yemi Siyanbola - an Old Boy and member of GCIOBA-1991 Set said that
the annual Quadrangular Hockey Tournament is aimed at developing the game of Hockey at the grass root level. He added that the tournament has produced many young Hockey players who have represented the State and the country at large at many Hockey competitions locally and internationally.

The sponsor of the event is the former Chairman of Lagos State Hockey Association and distinguished National Hockey player, in person of Engr Folarin Olujembola, who is also an Old Boy of Government College Ibadan. He was in Field House and a member of 1974 Class Set.
