Two GCI Old Boys receive Lead City University's Honoris Causa Degrees

Lead City University, Ibadan held her 10th Convocation Ceremony between Friday, 3rd of November, 2017 and Thursday, 9th of November, 2017 at the University grounds in the city of Ibadan with various activities lined up for each day. The grand finale of the Ceremony came up on Thursday, 9th of November, 2017 at Adeline, the University Hall with the conferment of Diplomas, Degree and Higher Degrees, Awards and Prizes

The Convocation Ceremony which had in attendance the Vice - President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo as the Guest Speaker, the Oyo State Governor - Senator Abiola Ajimobi, and other prominent Nigerians saw the private Varsity award Diploma, Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree to her deserving students and Honoris Causa to some legendary Nigerians who have excellently distinguished themselves in their profession and also rendered selfless services in the growth and development of the country.

Kolade Mosuro (Carr, 1964) received the Degree of Doctor of Letters (DLitt) of Lead City University, Ibadan while Gbolade Osibodu (Carr, 1968) received the Degree of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) of Lead City University, Ibadan.

Dr Kolade Mosuro - the Chief Executive Officer of Booksellers Limited, Ibadan is one of the Trustees of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association, GCIOBA, and was a recipient of GCIOBA National Merit Award in 1999.

Dr Osibodu Gbolade Victor (MFR), a graduate of Pharmacy at the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and the Harvard Business School; is currently the Chairman of the Vigeo Group, the parent company to the 5 arms of the business; Vigeo Capital, Vigeo Oil & Gas, Vigeo Shipping, Power and Marketing & Distribution. He was a recipient of GCIOBA National Merit Award in 2015.
