The Class of 1978 of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association resuscitated the Information and Communication Centre of their Alma Mater.
The 1978 Set in the month of August, 2018 equipped the 35-user ICT Centre with government approved and up-to-date electronic texts for both junior and secondary students of the school. The desktop computers were installed with the electronic copy of textbooks and past questions in tandem with the syllabus for the next academic session.
This was done in order to provide a 21st Century education for the students of Government College Ibadan, and also to expand their accessibility to the educational texts and materials.
It would be recalled that the GCI ICT Centre was donated by Shell Nigeria Exploration & Production Company Limited (SNEPCo) in January, 2011.
