Swanston House Marchers of 1972

This picture was taken in the first term of 1972. Swanston House March Past on the inter house sports day. The past two years 1970 & 1971 were both won by Swanston house. 1971 was particularly close as Swanston House beat Field House by only two and a half points.

Carrying the athletics shield for the defending champions was Tayo Akinwande (1965) (aka Brain Box or Tata) then in Form 5. The “Junior B” athletes seen in the front two rows are Denola Igun(Denny) (1971), Wale Aboderin (Pacheco), Folabi Ojo (Linco omo Oga) and Ife Oyedele (1971) (face covered).
