Government College, Ibadan:
Admission to Class I January 1964

1. I am pleased to be able to tell you that we are offering a place in Class I next year to your son/ward Will you please let me know as soon as possible whether you wish to accept the place. A deposit of $9 is required and must be paid either in cash or by cheque or Postal Order to the Bursar's office not later than 1st December, 1963, $3 of this is for the Caution Deposit and $6 for the first term's Equipment Fee. Further particulars of fees are contained in the enclosed information circular.
2. In Accepting the place will you please again state whether you wish your son/ward to be a day boy or a border and whether you wish him to be attached to any particular house.
3. The school year begins on Friday 24th January, but we shall expect new boys to arrive on 23rd January so that the Prefects can receive them and get them settled in before the rest of the school return.
4. Day boys should report to the School Assembly Hall at 10.00a.m on Saturday 24th January.
5. Finally, if you are sending us a boy for the first time, may I welcome you to the company of Government College parents. Detailed of visiting times are given in the information circular, but myself and the housemasters are always glad to have the opportunity of meeting you, and hope that you will not hesitate to come and make yourself known when you are on the compound or at any time that you have any anxiety about your son's welfare or progress.
