ONAKOYA Ayo

Born on 8 September 1953, Ayo attended the C.M.S. Grammar School, Lagos and obtained his West African School Certificate in Grade One in 1971.

He then moved over to GCI in 1972 for his Higher School Certificate which he obtained in 1973. He later attended the University of Ibadan where he obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physiology; the University of Lagos where he obtained the M.B.A in 1981 and later the LL.B in 1998, after which he was called to the Bar. He attended various management programmes locally and abroad, including the Advanced Management Programme AMP of the Lagos Business School.

He has worked as a Producer with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria between 1978 and 1980; Sterling Products Nigeria Plc (now GSK Plc) and CarnaudMetalbox Nigeria Plc (now Nampak Packaging Plc).

He is now in private legal practice and has interest in a Logistics Support Company.

He is married to Ada, a banker, and they have three children and a set of twins as grandchildren.
