GCI Defeats Lead City High School

In a friendly football contest between the students of Government College Ibadan and Lead City International High School, Ibadan; the boys of GCI displayed an esteemed class, vigour and dexterity on the pitch as they thrashed their counterpart on the home soil of their higher Institution, Lead City University, Ibadan by three goals to one.

The Proprietor and founder of the school, Prof. Jide Owoeye, who is also a 1968 Class Set member of Government College Ibadan was in attendance to watch the two schools play, on Thursday, the 7th of June, 2018.

It would be noted that the 2017 GCIOBA National Award Merit winner has always been committed to developing sports at the grass root levels.
