It was Maxwell Alan Lerner, the Russian-born American Journalist and Educator who said 'The tourist who moves about to see and hear and open himself to all the influences of the places which condense centuries of human greatness is only a man in search of excellence', and as such GCI Boys, always known for their unflinching quest for excellence have gone outta the four walls of classroom to learn more about nature and geographical wonders.

The Boys, in preparation for their 2017 Valedictory Service/Annual Speech and Prize Giving Day coming up on Wednesday, 26th of July, 2017 at Lalekan Are Hall, GCI went on a tour to Erin-Ijesha Waterfalls (also known as Olumirin Waterfalls) in Erin-Ijesha Community of Ori-Ade LGA, Osun State on Wednesday, 19th of July, 2017.

The Students who unanimously expressed their pleasure and satisfaction toward the trip expressed their sincere gratefulness to the School Authority for organising such innovative and educative tour. They were accompanied by their Geography and Government Teachers - Mr Popoola and Mr Olayiwola respectively, who appreciated God Almighty for the safe trip and commended the School Principal, Dr B.T. Odekunle for ensuring that the students are well exposed and also comply with the 21st Century style of learning which is beyond the shores of classroom.
