Banjo Sunday (Powell, 1974/75) with GCI crest, now a Professor at Tai Solarin College of Education, Ijebu-Ode and an active member of GCIOBA - Ijebu Branch; and Gbola Akinola aka Whole Akins, the then Cadet Commandant with the trophy won at the event. Gbola Akinola (Grier, 1972) is currently the Chairman of GCIOBA-Lagos Branch.
The event took place at the old Liberty Stadium (now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium), Ibadan in the 1977/78 Session.
