Yes. He once dreamed of being the first African to make an electric car (and yes, I made a small prototype, using plywood, hand-wound copper coil, wall clock motor and “Tiger” batteries, in high school second year). Sad, I never gotto building a real one, even after a degree in engineering later. The dream for electric car was there, but no electricity! Sorry.

He soon realized an all-important truth: you cannot develop beyond the limits of opportunities in your environment!

It is therefore a much pleasing serendipity that he found himself in investment banking, a profession which allows him to actively contribute to the expansion of scope of opportunities around his home continent, Africa.

Having seen casualties of unsupportive economic environments and lack of access to capital and business intelligence – key tools of business growth and sustainability, he has now come to see the value that investment banking can bring. With continuous research on needs of the continent, and expertise in the creation and allocation of capital and strategic intelligence, investment bankers can provide invaluable help to leaders of African governments, to generate and implement ideas for delivering developmental promises to their communities and also assist private enterprises create and sustainably grow value in their businesses. It is through this dynamic, that lasting solutions to African problems can be delivered. And to this cause, he dedicates himself.

As founder and current CEO of Eczellon Capital – a corporate finance and advisory firm, and a team of passionate corporate finance experts – he has had the privilege to lead transactions and projects across public and private sectors across the continent, delivering some award winning deals in structuring and arranging finance for governments and corporates. https://eczellon.com/select-transaction-cases/

He remains passionate about the evolving African story and will be pleased to connect to discuss ideas.

Maybe someday, the first “electric” train connecting planets will be African!
