1965 Set Royal Parents

Late Adeniyi Ademola (Alake of Egbaland, Late Adebambo Adesanya (Awujale of Ijebuland) and Late Adesoji Aderemi (Ooni of Ife)

Picture Description, R-L.

These late royal kings were exchanging pleasantries while their guards and staff looked on from behind. The circa and location of the picture are still unknown.

1. Late Adeniyi Ademola (Alake of Egbaland)
2. Late Adebambo Adesanya (Awujale of Ijebuland)
3. Late Adesoji Aderemi (Ooni of Ife)

These late royal kings had a very interesting relationship with Government College Ibadan, and the relationship goes thus:

1. Late Adesoji Aderemi (Ooni of Ife) had a son in GCI, in person of Adetowo Aderemi (1542, Grier House, 1965 Set)

2. Late Adebambo Adesanya (Awujale of Ijebuland) had a grandson in GCI, in person of Adebambo Adesanya (1543, Grier House, 1965 Set). Adebambo Adesanyo's father was late Justice Adesanya - the son of the Awujale.

3. Late Adeniyi Ademola (Alake of Egbaland) had a great grandson in GCI, in person of Adeniyi Ademola (2209, Carr House, 1965 Set). Adeniyi Ademola was the son of late Justice Justice Adenekan Ademolaa, who was the son of late Justice Adetokunbo Ademola, who was the son of late Oba Ademola, the Alake

Most interestingly, they (son, grandson and great grandson) were all classmates of 1965 Set of Government College Ibadan.

Royalty indeed!
