1961 Set Stocks Agric Lab With ICT Equipment

The Agricultural Department of Government College Ibadan was given a further facelift as the 1961-65/67 Set of Government College Ibadan donated ICT materials to the Department.

While speaking at the event, the Set Chairman, Tai Cole noted that the presentation was needful in this 21st century where the right use of ICT enhances innovations in Science. Femi Babalola (1975) on behalf of the GCIOBA National President, Wale Babalakin (1971) appreciated the ancient Class of 1961 for their give back to their Alma Mater and acknowledged their age long and gigantic contributions to the obvious uplift and holistic development of Agricultural Science department.

The donated items were 2 laptops, printer, WiFi router and sundries. Present at the event were Femi Babalola, the Immediate Past Chairman of GCIOBA-Ibadan Branch, Adeniyi Adeoti (1980) – the Vice Chairman of Ibadan Branch representing Oluwole Agbaje (1977) - the Branch Chairman and also the GCIOBA Assets Management Committee, and the Mr. Adewale Oluwole – Principal of Government College Ibadan. Others present were the staff and students of the Department, and members of Press.

Some deserving members of staff of the department, and outstanding students were also presented with cash prizes.

Wilfred Ighodaro, Oladimeji and other members of the Set were in attendance to grace the presentation, and share reminiscences of the good old days.
